PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE

Intern – Andela (June 2021 to Date)

Acting as an Intern for Andela from June 2021 to Date. During the three months internship period I have been allocated a project to develop a website for an Andela client supported by EldoHub and Kenic. Through this program I have learned much on Front End Development where I have gained much experience in JavaScript, CSS, HTML and Bootstrap. Mentor – Google Africa Developer Scholarship (June 2021 to Date)

Train and guide students on Mobile Web Specialist Path. I will mentor beginners and Junior Software developers i HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript, React and Angular for a period of 6 months from the month of June 2021 to December 2021 in-order to achieve Google Certification on Mobile Web development.

Freelance Front End Developer (January 2018 to Date)

Develop client websites using (HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap and JavaScript) Learn new JavaScript frameworks and libraries as I work on new projects (ReactJS, nodeJS, MySQL, and PostgreSQL)

AWS Educate Cloud Ambassador(April 2020 to April 2021)

From April 2020 to April 2021 Involved in teaching students Amazon Web Services cloud computing concepts, preparing students for the modern workforce through cloud education and continuously share my experience in the AWS educate Community.

Participant Google Summer of Code (June 2020 to August 2020)

Converted open source spinnaker deck, that is the user interface of the application code from Angular to react.

Mentor Google Africa Developer Scholarship (June 2020 to December 2020)

Supported learners in the Google Africa Developer Scholarship, through mentoring, training and leadership to make them gain great knowledge in Mobile Web programming. Languages (HTML5,CSS3 and JavaScript)

IT Support Assistant, DAC Aviation International (November 2015 to December 2017)

Supported the organization's infrastructure, this included hardware, Software, and Networking of the organization. Managed Aviation based Information Management Systems including Pentagon, Dragon, Navigator and Microsoft products. Trained over 250 employees in Microsoft products and the management information systems in the products used by the company. Managed Service Level Agreements of the company, and ensured third-party companies contracted by DAC Aviation delivered as expected.

System Technician, Fincom Technologies Limited (June 2014 to October 2015)

Supported hardware and software sections of the co-operate clients of Fincom Technologies Limited, this involved Servers, computers, printers and cheque Scanner repairs, Windows server configurations, general software installations, and network cabling.

Software Engineer Circuit Business Systems Limited (March 2013 to April 2014)

Supported AMLIB, A library management system installed in different Cooperate organizations in East Africa by Circuit Business Systems. I was involved in training users, installing the system on new users data centers, software documentation for new modules or changes in the system, creating crystal reports and did database configurations for both MySQL and Oracle database Management system this involved data mining, space management, and database tuning during downtime.
